Pastor and Leadership
Rev. Dale L. Chrisman, Rector
Father Dale, in his previous life before Ordination, was a corporate communications executive in Houston. He handled marketing campaigns, investor relations for public companies, and taught workshops on executive media training and crisis communications. In 1986, he and wife Jacque and two daughters moved to Austin to start his own practice. In 1998, he was called by his Bishop to become the Lay Vicar at St. James Episcopal Church in Taylor, a small town near Austin. He was Ordained to the Priesthood in 2002 and was called to Lago Vista in 2004. He led the planting of Trinity Anglican Church and was received as a Priest in the Anglican Mission in America (AMiA) in the fall of 2009.
He is a former Air Force Information Officer, holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas and St. Edwards University. He has been married to Jacque since 1970. They have two adult daughters, Allison and Emily, and four grandchildren: Mattie, Mia, Teddy, and Harper.
Judy Funk, Choir Director
Judy Funk is a native Austinite, and has lived with her husband, Richard, in Lago Vista since 2006. She has a Masters in Music Education. She was a band director and private clarinet and flute instructor for 33 years before retiring in 2009. She leads the Trinity Choir as well as works with our Guitar Group. She’s married to Richard Funk, Ph.D., a respected music educator and author of two thrillers.
Cara Jennings, Sunday School Director
Cara has been active in Trinity since our beginning. During the day, she works in a local physician’s office. She’s served as an elected member of the Vestry and led our Sunday School and Education program for three years. She’s married to Brandon, a firefighter who is a licensed arson investigator with the Austin Fire Department. They have three children in the Lago Vista ISD.
Our Directors formed Trinity Anglican Church in November 2009 and continue to provide high-level leadership. They make major decisions affecting the future of Trinity and provide counsel to the Rector.
Del is retired after serving as a Grants Manager for the State of Texas Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division for over twenty-five years. She has been active in her Church having served as Altar Guild Directress, Vestry Member, Sunday School Teacher, ECW President, and greeter.
Scott is Manager of Print Services for Austin Independent School District. He produces all Trinity marketing materials as well as for three years maintained our web site. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
Stuart is the CEO and president of SmallCapVoice.com, an internet based consulting firm headquartered in Austin, Texas. He serves on the Trinity finance committee and is the Worship Leader for our Praise Sunday service and our Prayer and Praise service once a month. He is the proud father to two beautiful girls and is happily married to his wife, Micka.
The Vestry are elected by the church members to serve as lay leaders of the congregation. They meet monthly and make decisions regarding financial expenditures and give counsel to the Rector. Two are elected every year and two go off providing both continuity as well as injecting new and fresh leadership and ideas.
